Kudos to Corey for keeping this thing alive lol

I've taken my righting for writing
And washed it down with a young California
My sorrows for you, teacher of the morning
I have no excuse for not making songs

So the traveling starts an hour past noon
With a loaded compartment and a road tripping tune
I'll turn to the window you're staring out too
We'll wonder, what if we think the same of the view?

And we'll walk through a time we never thought we would see
In a land not ever poisoned with blood or mercury
When the health of our selves was a thought out of mind
Because the sky and it's clouds were all we could find

These tales that your mothers and father do tell
Of the lands and the ways of the people that fell
Have so little to do with the things we can do
In the time we will spend crawling out of a womb

Sun statue, do speak, tell me of your fights for being free
I want to know how you avoided the acidic rain this week
Your neighbor is pock-marked but you are more rock-hard
I want to know what your secret is to feeling so sweet
