Snowbound

The snow has fallen the wind has swept

The blackness of roads, theres nothing left

Take one step and sink three feet in

A shovel in hand but where to begin

The cars are buried in a bank of snow

Unfortunately black ice lies below

Stuck in the house with nothing to do

So I'll write to the sun since it's its' cue

Melt this snow and melt the ice

On the roads I don't want to roll the dice

I need to get out, out of this place

I need to see another face

i say hello and you say nothing

if only i can turn this into something

to know you better we must talk

but you dont notice when i walk

i try and try for you to see

that you should get to know me

i wait for the day to hear your voice

To see you in flesh would be my choice

A Song for Sailing

Waiting in winds while I'm running through hair.
The gust it feels good since the skin is so bare.
What does it take for inspiration to write?
How bout 4 in the morning after drinks in the night.

And it always hurts to know the heart,
Cant live straight free right from the start,
Time will trap inside webs that will keep
The things we dream inside our sleep.

I want to run and never stop.
I want to live and raise the crops.
I want to breath and fly again.
I want to breath and fly again.

Choice

Standing on a line that divides true space

Trying to decide which side is my place

Sitting on the fence as it sways in the wind

Something in the air has me pinned

What the force is it's hard to see

This is nonsense I cant let this be

I cannot stay just on one side

I'm free to change like the tide

Today I will explore not one but both

Today is the day to expel the mind's loath

It's one of those days where the rain keeps pouring

The clouds are thick and the thunder is roaring.

Your room is dark with one ray of light

Stress and emotions, you're trying to fight.

Before too long the storm is no longer

The clouds depart and the sun is stronger

Looking outside theres a rainbow overhead

You feel the urge to rise up out of bed

This is the day to do as you please

Unlock any door cuz in your hand lies the keys
